Description
As promised, here's what I've been able to do with Poser 8's Alyson so far. Alyson has no dynamic hair and her own dynamic dress won't cover her boobs so I had to pull from my library (which I was able to recover thanks to Geek Squad, but we'll get to that). I have to say that Ryan was much easier to use in the face room in order to spawn decent face morphs. I got okay results with Alyson, but nothing that could be used in close up. Poser actually crashed and I had to pull this image out of the render cache.
Bagginsbill has been covering the new render functions in the Poser forum. Just my personal taste, but I have noticed that the HSV Exponential exposure works better as long as there are only a few lights in the scene. The more lights you add and subtle details like reflection, ambient occlusion, and shadows start to look washed out. But I definitely recommend playing with it to see whether you like it for some light sets over others.
So on a side note, I was able to get my files back from my PC hard drive thanks to Geek Squad. I don't know if I would ever recommend them to anyone since I have a paranoia that they went digging through my files. Not that anything's there, but I was a bit worried about the fact the DAZ kids are naked in their product thumbnails.

Kudos, I think you've done a lot good here. From what I've seen (haven't opened her up yet myself to put her through her paces), you've got her mouth improved a great deal. Still not a believer in those eyes or that collar/upper shoulder area, but I think that's gonna be hard to fix. I dunno what they were thinking there. But this is a very good render. Nice work.

Very instructive test. I like her face, quite different from the one of other Poser women such as Sydney, Jessi 1 and 2 and Miki (whether 1 and 2) and Olivia, plus the Daz ones; Alyson is more "girl next door". Her shoulders seem somewhat unrealistic… it's a pity, anyway, that the shoulder problem is not at all solved, nether by Poser nor by Daz. Congrats Jeremy!
