Description
As I was walking along the dunes last weekend, I noticed how this fence has been almost buried by sand. The dunes were breached last winter by the huge surf. What used to be pasture is now covered by sand. Nature rules.

I remember this pasture. It is fun "walking" with you back here for a look around. Nature rules...particularly where the sea is concerned. This is beginning to look desolate. Hard to imagine that not long ago sweet grass grew here for cows.

Jip - nature will never be contained... Wonderful image and full of deep meaning for me this morning Marilyn! :)
Your postwork has made this like a dream!
Yes I agree! Very dreamy post work! Well done!
I see Bill likes :)...Nice one Maz, love the tones you chose. Oh, give me land, lots of land under starry skies above, Don't fence me in. Let me ride through the wide open country that I love, Don't fence me in. Let me be by myself in the evenin' breeze, And listen to the murmur of the cottonwood trees, Send me off forever but I ask you please, Don't fence me in. Just turn me loose, let me straddle my old saddle Underneath the western skies. On my Cayuse, let me wander over yonder Till I see the mountains rise. I want to ride to the ridge where the west commences And gaze at the moon till I lose my senses And I can't look at hovels and I can't stand fences Don't fence me in. The great Bing Crosby again mazzer :)
A dreamy return to the dunes...so lovely!
I love the way this turned out. Beautiful work!
great picture!!
awesome colors warm hugs, Linda
interesting postwork
Actually, this should be titled, "Don't fence me in #2," because you've used the title before. Ennyweigh, a reminder of the tireless efforts of nature to reclaim its own as portayed in this fine photo, Marilyn!
Wonderful capture!I love the colours so much!Very inviting!
I also thought that the colors were the strength of this photo. Mother Nature always wins. Dana
lovely shot and saturation x
the fence is wonderful, all half buried and wending around as it does, almost oblivious to the action around it; but the colors are equally so, a very vivid mix of hues running in bands, both in the focussed & non-focussed sections. It's really a small symphony. More coaxing the power out of a place & moment from you...
