Description

Based on the true story of mutiny and murder aboard HMS Hermione in the Caribbean of 1797. The vicious Captain Pigot had ordered the reefing of the topsails in the dangerous conditions of a night storm at sea. Three sailors fell to the deck and the Captain ordered the still alive bodies thrown over the side to the sharks. This was the final straw after a long voyage of abuse and the crew mutinied and killed the Captain and most of his officers. The ship became known as the Black Ship and was hunted relentlessly by the British. After a short lived attempt at piracy depicted here, the crew gave the ship over to the Spanish. Thank you for revealing to me this most interesting tale. I'm off to look up more information on it. The sea-spray against the hull is perfect.

Breathtaking mood! I love this. Superb creation. The waves, the glow on board, the roughness of the sea, and that haunting moon. 10
