Description
This was a particularly interesting and difficult photo to actually capture. The view is of Grand Mesa, situated between and to the east of the Colorado cities of Delta and Grand Junction. This view looks northeast from the rim of the Black Canyon. The shadows were wonderful, but, because of the extreme values of highlight and shadow, the challenge was to capture all the layers of rocks and bluffs while still seeing the Mesa in the haze and the fading of day. Hope you like it.
