Group group, and remembering is so important.
Were going to have a civial war reenactment at Fort Wachita in September your post has made me want to be there; hope I can make it. Another excellent collage and very interesting captures, excellent work!!!
Another wonderful collage of this event. Good to see a young child in a back, never too young to understand war and peace.
Excellent shots Harry and a wonderful collage!
That statue is neat, and the Jacaranda in the background is beautiful!
Three fine views. Harry, you've got this collage making figured out:-) We had a period of time here where the headstones were flat with the ground in the VA Cemetery. It didn't last long. All the stones are upright again and have been for some years.
Very cool shots.
Excellent shots; I love the attitude of the watcher. Great work Harry!
Wonderful image of this man paying his respects Harry! Excellent collage! :)
Excellent collage of profound shots!
Excellent pics, especially the last two. I've posted a CAR today, have a peep!
wonderful shot of this history day
it's really fine that you captured this man standing in a kind of devotion...he's alone & appears both honoring & silenced in front of this statue. Of course he wasn't in that war, but maybe he was in another, or maybe he just knows how enormous the Civil War was, or maybe he had ancestors in that war. Whatever it is, he's casual but thoughtful, a fine combination. And the statue stands out very nicely around all that flat ground, and we get to see the flags this time without anything in their way, and they're small but they're there, and they're dignified and touching, accompanying graves as they do. Sensitive captures here...and nice to see this war quietly represented...
