Description
It is rather rare to catch these felines exactly like this, where the king and queen are walking next to each other. It happened so quickly that I just pointed and shot off a few images. I must admit that I was rather disappointed with the outcome. The male was slightly behind the lioness, so he is not in sharp focus... I tried to compromise by softening the image slightly... Anyway - here they are - the Royal Pair...
I've got a bust weekend planned but will try and keep up to date with comments.
Have a wonderful weekend all!!
Hugs, Carin xx

wow! Carin what a great capture!! love it!!!
Wow Carin! This is a fantastic image. :)
marvelous!
YOU DID GOOD. IT'S A GREAT PHOTO. THE KING REMINDS ME OF ASLAN IN THE CHRONICLES OF NARNIA. BUSY OR LAZY WEEKEND, IT MATTERS NOT. JUST HAVE A GREAT WEEKEND.
Beautiful color tones on this pair Carin! Great shot!
The softening worked well. The detail on the lioness and the blur on the king almost match. To the point that only some one looking for it would be able to notice.
SUPER COOL! And what a determened look in their eyes!
great shot
Very nice... are you sure it's not a self portrait? LOL
Marvellous!
Fantastic shot, Carin! What a wonderful pair they are!
A lovely image Carin and I know just how it feels when you think "if only"
beautiful image and i love the DOF it gives almost 3D feel to it.
awesome ! they are so beautiful
Excellent photo! maybe he was in a bit of trouble and was told to walk behind her for a while and think about what he'd done!
The golden pair--this is stunning, Carin, the light, the color and these regal cats--absolutely wonderful!! Oh, the title--priceless!!
Splendid capture ;O)
Whenever I feel afraid I hold my head erect And whistle a happy tune So no one will suspect I'm Afraid. While shivering in my shoes I strike a careless pose And whistle a happy tune And no one ever knows I'm afraid. LOL I loved that movie for years, can't stand it now :)...Great capture of these magnificent creatures Carin, well done my dear friend.
I thought this pose was only possible in Disney movies. How fabulous! I love the softness added and, between you and me, focusing the attention on the queen is ok with me. She earns the right IMO. :-)
Fantastic capture!!!
fantastic picture!!!!!
A wonderful shot indeed Carin. You did so well softening it. Bravo.
You did a wonderful job with the photo -- it's awesome.
This is just magical. A beautiful pair.
WOW this is fabulous, looks like a painting. Thankyou for showing.
out of focus or not ..it is a gorgeous pair!!
Gorgeous animals, fantastic light!!
still a fantastic shot
starring Yul Brenner and Deborah Kerr (1956). The queen in this case has violated the sacred rules of royalty by walking ahead of the king. Has she no sense of propriety? Henry the Eighth would have had her immediately imprisoned in the Tower of London. Pretty good capture considering you were caught rather unawares, Carin. I think it came out quite well. Love the colors and lighting effects. And, what exactly is a "bust" weekend? The implications of that comment are earth shaking.
Stunning capture. Do not let anyone take away from this photo. This is not a zoo shot after all. Love the lighting and the title. Dana
