It looks easier to work with as compared to the cars now-a-days.... Excellent shot. Aloha
Great shot! (Tara would be just taking pics of the filter, I expect!)
LOL @ Andrea... gosh - poor Tara...Actually I think she would have taken a pic of a very small part of the filter... sorry Tara - I had to join in Great image of a very simple looking engine Marilyn! :)
Looks great, nice capture and engine well done!
Another huge and threatening lump!

Horses horses and more horses power !-)))))
super air cleaner....
Shiny! ooooooooo... shiny...:-)
The carburetor air filter looks like it's heating up and generating its own light in this splendid capture, Missy Maz! Love the shiny reflections and refractions on the lid.
LOL @ Andrea & Carin! I'll be sending them my version of your shot. :P LOL!
small block Chevy.excellent capture
So clean, we could eat off it:-) Great eye Marilyn. Love the cropping discussion above.
yeah, lol andrea, carin & tara. Tara would capture some small portion of the filter, and make it into a big bold journey for the eye...Well of course this is from a '64 Impala, it's wayyyy too advanced to be the '63, and anyone can see that the chassis is pre '65! (Marilyn? I don't know what the ___ I'm talking about. Every so often I need to sound car-smart, go along with me...) I didn't know engines could be that smooth—ie, where are all the 'parts'?—but it sure has tubes running in & out, and that filter is highlighted so it looks like a space ship, or maybe a marina-center for boats that float on engines: Point is, it's another of your shots where the familiar becomes new & bold and feels like a visitation for the eye. I love the color & light of that filter against the shiny red of the rest of the engine...
