Description
I had been watching this guy in my garden for the past 3 weeks hoping to see him create a cocoon and then hatch into a moth. the huge rainstorm last night must have washed him from the plant because I can't find him today. I guess my nature lesson was cut short. :(
he was about two inches long and he is facing right in all these photos.
PS: I named him jeorge :)

Jeorge looks to be having a great feast here and you have captured him so well.
What lovely captures these are. Excellent collage.
Awesome collage - awesome photos to start with. Keep looking, that cocoon has to be out there someplace. Dana

Oh I hope you find him!! I've never seen a one of these moths, and with luck you'll find him, find where he makes his cocoon, and get a pic of him when he emerges! You wouldn't believe how many pages of this caterpillar there when I googled the moth itself, and out of a bazillion pages, I only found one that pics of owlet moths!! Wonderful capture!!
