Description


These are two Saguaro cacti, somewhere in the Sonoran Desert of Arizona, USA. They live up to 150 years and largest has grown to 45 feet (13.8 meters). They can live up to 150 years and they don’t start to grow “arms” until they are about 75 years old. Thanks for stopping by, taking a look and for all your previous comments & favs. Dana

They are very slow growers. I've had one in my garden for 4 years and it's only gained one inch since I bought it. At this rate it might reach hip high by the time my first great grandchild starts first grade! This is a stellar find and a wonderful shot.

I love the amazing sagueros and this shot didn't just happen! I'm sure you carefully selected your position to bring this one off, and you did it very well! I can't help thinking how much trouble I might have avoided if I didn't grow arms until I was 75 - ha ha!
