Description
Stella was a wonderful guide full of information when we were giving Beachzz and Anna a tour of Hilo town, Stella had a special name for this place and building I'm sure Marilyn and Anna would never forget. But for me, its called Hale pa'ahao........Jail. Aloha and thank you for viewing

Looks like it might be just a wee bit uncomfortable to stay there longre than about 10 minutes! A real character building though!
intersting photo......
Yes It is a very interesting image sweetie I hate to say it but the building looks like it has seen better times Don't think I would want to be there after dark LOL Great capture tho Hugs Susan~
Tropical weathering has a way with older buildings. Keep me out of the Hilo jail:)
fantastic photo.... superior technique!
very interesting and wonderfulwork !
Wonderful textures on this old jail, HDR really brings them out.
A very interesting image and an excellent & wonderful artwork!
impressive place! a real jail? looks fantastic with hdr! with the moody sky a bit unreal! ;o)
I agree with Kort, I love the texturing... BTW, I see in your shot a kind of subtle softness, it's really cool and adds a graceful mood on it.
LOL, oh yeah, I do remember this place--not somewhere I'd ever want to stay for long---or ever, actually!! Great shot and wonderful postwork!!
Hey, I was going to walk down there and take a few shots soon. You really brought this to life...lololol.. Yes, this is one of the "best" hotels on the island. Room service as well as a "bar" in every room. Just kidding. The new jail is build just behind this one. Aloha
This is what jail is all about...no place to spend time! Excellent shot and the composition is well done.
Great scene. This building definitely has character.
You sure can make an old abandoned building look beautiful
looks like it has seen better days. excellent capture
It looks what I have come to know in the tropics. Weathered and decayed!
Now that's how scary jail should look!!!!!! Might just keep you on the up & up eh?? I wouldn't want to stay there a minute!! Whew, thank goodness... Aloha...
