Description
Today it is the last but one day of our vacation in Canada. So Sandra (Sandra46) and I spent all the day at the Canadian War Museum in Ottawa. While working on the new episode of Canals of Mars, I felt like to post this photo.
What do you think it is?
Period: WWII.
A clue: It is neither a plane nor a sub! ;-D

Some sort of artillery piece!
Fabulous picture, excellent my friend!
I've been to the war museum too, cool place. It looks like one of my old woofers, but I'm going with the hub of a tank wheel.

superb.... looks like an aerial camera.
I tend to believe it is a cannon as well....
a old camera? cool looking
(Funny that i was in the Army Museum in Paris, wednesday :) Excellent idea !
Flamethrower?, possibly tank mounted....Great POV tho'
Nice closeup and abstraction.
forgive me for getting here so late...I have been so behind I've missed half the galleries I normally go to...but I've so appreciated your comments, and at last I get to comment on something of yours. I don't know what this is, though I thought it was a cannon mouth, or something looking into a tank. (Actually I thought it was the lens of a very old camera, but I'm not a photographer, so if that's way off, you'll have to forgive my ignorance!) But whatever it is, it's a wonderful grained & decayed object, the kind of decay that speaks a world; and the texture and clarity is beautiful, as is the light to dark as we go inside the hole. A wonderful photo, and it looks like you have a very creative gallery, and I'll be here again, next session. But before I leave another day, I wanted to come here at last. It was wholly worth it. This is a beautiful shot.
Wonderful image! Love all the texture!
Very well done :)
Fantastic colors and textures !
