Description
I admitted to Vee that I hadn't been on my bike for a while, so she created a character from my ArtZone avatar and sent my mesh out on the road...
I'm posting this in Realism with my tongue very firmly in my cheek - I've already thanked Vee heartily for her idealisation of my mesh - trim belly, Brad Pitt jawline, shiny new bike and effortless form in the saddle... Sadly the reality is somewhat more paunchy, jowly, unshaven, mud splattered and out of breath on the bike, as I desperately attempt to fight off the ravages of age (the salt and pepper hair is spot on, but I've managed to disguise it with the carefully placed lighting...). As Vee says, life happens and it's nothing to be ashamed of - we've earned it!
Poser 7, Vue 7.4 Infinite, post work in Photoshop CS3.
This was a fun collaboration! Thanks Vee!
Craig
PS There were definitely no performance-enhancing substances/electrons used in the making of this image - it took 36 hours to render...!!!

Wow. Very realistic. Super pov & lighting! ")
Great action render, Craig. One can always remember ...LOL Hey, nothing wrong with being a bit unshaven. The 5 o'clock shadow makes a man, anyhow!!
Fantastic collaboration. I love it. The intro is funny and wonderful. The POV sets this apart along with the atmosphere. The lighting is special--how the sun hits the spokes on the tires--it's fabulous. You can feel the effort in the character's pose and gaze. Yes, we've all earned our ages whatever those may be. Sharing, surviving, living life to the fullest, being creative and having grattitude, that's what it's all about in my humble opinion.
Fantastic realism! Excellent done!
Great render! Very well done!
really cool work that brings the smiles warm hugs, Linda
Wow! what a nice collaboration! Is that really you, Craig?... it surely must be if it's in realism.

I like shiny things. Great image and collab. Might've been cool with your Giant face avatar.? Have to admit I haven't been biking enough and am getting a little soft myself. Messege to the young; don't be in such a hurry to get old...
Very nice collaboration! Great scene and POV. Excellent lighting! Really well done.
looks lovely my friend..love the light effects here x
LOL Oh Craig you are too funny. Wow Vee did a marvelous job with you here. Amazing work. You two are such a great team. I love the POV.
hehe what a cool POV here - a fantastic Idea
Very striking image.. really captures the gaze! Nicely done all around :)
this is cool..the PoV makes the image IMHO
Wow, that's an awesome render. I really like the POV and the lighting, this is a great piece.
a big sweeping vision, a common enough sight but in this treatment the rider feels like a god, the lighting enhances his stature, you two have lens flare (very effective), the wheels shine as if from within, I love the juxtaposition with the second driver (half out of the picture, which makes him/her seem all the more mysterious) and they appear to be driving through some craggy cliffed mountains, maybe in a canyon of some sort. It's a dramatic angle, and the lines & lights sweep us in. Terrific work, both of you: You two really do wonderful collabs. Craig, I'm still catching up and will return to your gallery again—that's a promise!—but at least I wanted to get an image of yours now so you know I'm intend to re-visit your vital and exciting gallery once again. Thanks for your wonderful comments on my work, they're so much appreciated! And I'll be back here this weekend. Love these collabs! A very dramatic vision...
Very good POV and pose.
A great collaboration Craig...you're very lucky to have your own mesh likeness,I wonder what else you will be doing-climbing mountains perhaps?Love the POV in this image!
Excellent, great POV
Indeed a terrific point of view for the image my friend, and the canyon is also well suited. And if you think its easy trying to recreate someone from just an avatar think again! lol, I really had a blast trying though and its fun to imagine others as you learn them, I always seem to see you having coffee with B and taking in the day as the sun rays highlight your porch filled with relaxing kitties. And.... at times, it is just you both hunched over documents sketching away to bring knowledge to those that care to pay attention. It is also great to see you get out on your bike too though.... even if it is pixel perfect ;-P Great job Craig, and as always, most excellent fun doing collabs with ya! Vee
