Description
To recap the story so far ...
While Stalking Pots at the Garden Center I risked life and limb in order to get a shot of the Queen of the Pots despite the danger! It was touch and go for a while. I was stealthy and sneaky (but experienced in the hunt) and was able to get the shot I wanted.
Encouraged by my success I continued on, and discovered to my surprise that the reason I had been able to get so close to the Queen was that her guards were having a party in the next rack over!
They were dressed in their party colors, and were having a grand old time. I don't know for sure how they were celebrating, but you can tell from looking at them that they'd had a bit too much ... they're looking a bit blurry! (It's postwork! I swear!)
I hope this party makes you smile, especially those of you who have hung in with me through the entire saga! You've made my sick days at home much more bearable, and given me something to look forward to. You guys rock!
(If none of this makes any sense to you, follow the links and read what's happened up 'til now. You won't be able to make heads or tails out of it unless you read what I wrote and then read the comments on the posts. Part I was "Stalking Pots" and Part II was "Queen of the Pots." Enjoy!)
I promise ... for my next post, I'll move on to something completely different. How about Ralph, the Wonder Llama! I can always give it a try and hope I don't get sacked!

Yee Haw!!! Oh I thought we were going to have a party! Oh well it's been fun anyway!! Glad you are recovering!!!
Excellent postwork !!!
beautiful pots ! great composition
I've enjoyed the Pot party and wow what colors...maybe next time I come over there, we will have to go to the Pot place...lol
man, I'm gone a week and I come back to a saga! The postwork is there, but it brought out the beautiful lines & spills that were already in the enamels, and they're beautiful! (I hope that doesn't ruin the Queen saga: It's just a beautiful sight, those isobars. Voila!) As for the party of the elders/guards/pot heads (oh, snap!), it sure looks like a party. I already blew all the "pot" puns in a fav (pot luck, going to pot, smoking pot), I'm desperately trying to come up with something else. (E-pot? [ebot]?) I could do "Pol Pot" but that'll destroy the whole thread. So I'll just say I love the shot, and when you see patterns and lines like this, all the warring factions have to stop and say, "whoa, this is beautiful!" Love the work you did on this. And kudos to the contributors to the show!
What an amazing variety of colours here! They sure make for great picture. Awesome work. Rob.
Great shot its a good job they were too drunk to see you.
Ah, the wonders of alien life forms. I always suspected that pots had lives all their own, but I never imagined I (or anyone else) would be around to witness one of their fiestas. I've done a bit of research and have learned that Queen pots will often allow their guards time off during certain seasons (usually in years ending with odd numbers) to de-glaze so to speak. It has something to do with The Firing of the Kiln ceremony, an exceedingly solemn affair, I'm told. Fantastic and brave work here. And now you've got me wondering what's next. I'm sure it'll be just as enlightening. As for the photo itself, it's vivid and full of festive life. It's the life of its own party. Great work!
Such beautiful colors, fantastic idea and story, excellent capture and work!!!!!!!!!!!!!1
It does make me smile. As do the wonderful vibrant colours - I am a sucker for such things.
