View of Mount St. Helens (8,366-ft) is from highway 504 at the Mt. St. Helens Monument. Mount St. Helens is to the southeast about 10 miles distance as the crow flies. On the left side of picture is Mt. Adams (12,276-ft) about 50 miles distant.

Excellent capture. My family had a friend who lived near, and collected ash from this mountain from it's eruption in the 80's (or so)...he sent it to us in a jar...I'm sure I didn't appreciate the sentient back then as I do now.
