Description
Biltmore Estates, in Northern Carolina.. taken between rain showers lol.
bit of history: George Vanderbilt envisioned Biltmore in 1888, while on a short vacation to Asheville, North Carolina. His imagination was sparked by the area's beauty. He felt inspired to create a relaxed country estate in the Blue Ridge Mountains that would welcome family and friends for weeks, even months.
Someone had asked to see a full view, well this may not be exactly what they are asking for, but I spent most of my time that day in the gardens, while my son and daughter toured the house, since I had been there previously, on the left side of the photo where you see the lily ponds and fountains, if you follow to the left beyond the pavilion (there was a wedding there that day) that is where the staircase is that leads to the gardens, hope you enjoy~ and to Raplh, I hope I spelled that right, I do have a few other photos of this home in my gallery if you go back a few pages. Thanks for your interest.
I hope you all enjoy your day.
Thanks to all that took the time to visit my gallery and to comment on my work, I appreciate you all.

Wow, what a place this is. Must cost a fortune to run too. Yes, hard to find people like your neighbor. Cell phones will be banned while driving July 1st here. Can't come soon enough. Aloha and have a great weekend.

NICE place!!! David
That's very interesting post-work Lynell would like to know more about that. I should imagine it would take a lot to maintain the place! My goodness the woman's a saint I hope you took over those cookies lol!
Thank you all, and for those of you that asked I sent you a site mail to try to show how I did that, it was mostly playing and trial and error. Happy Friday!
awesome work warm hugs, Linda
it's very palatial, and you definitely got an old postcard effect, those old linen postcards that had that wonderful patina and bluish & violet hues around the edges of buildings and such. It also has the saturated light; and the mansion's roof really seems like a fairy tale in this light. A fun & vivid capture, from a storey up, perhaps; and it makes the place seem like a scene from a Hollywood love story.
Nice Work !!
Beautiful Lynell and I like your treatment of the photo and the background information you provided.

Wonderful capture my friend
This is absolutely gorgeous! I love the color and the whole composition in general. Great details and I love the POV. Super work. Was this house used in the film Hannibal.
fantastic work.
I never saw this one Lynell. Very nice work!
maravillosa!
This is stunning Lynell! I love the beautiful range of colors after the rain. Amazing how some people just do because they want to, yes, more like her are needed! I can't do as much as I used to but still I offer when I can, especially to the elderly who can no longer do for themselves. I love hearing about 'earth' angels, makes the day a whole lot better!
