Description
Although i tried different lighting and shadow settings I could not get rid of the shadow banding on the lower distant hills...sort of like a terracing effect. The render time on this was almost 9 hours and I went back and fooled with more settings and re-rendered again only to see they are there, once again.
Well, one can't get everything perfect, can they...LOL
Thanks for looking in and any comments you care to leave. They are all appreciated, greatly.

I am awed by this landscape and mystical vision of these temples, nestling in the majesty of that mountain range in the distance...A superb work, Keith, and my hat off to you :-)
Well Keith like Jean-Luc I too am blown away by this one and think you really have outdone yourself. Trust me the banding your talking about doesn't take away from this one at all
Very beautiful scene, excellent colors.
Another perfect render from my point of view! Superb blending of the sky city architecture with a stunning setting! Very peaceful and a thorough delight to the eyes! Very well done! 1,000,000,000,000+++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++
Wonderful work!
Fantastic composition and mystical atmosphere, Keith!!!
Well Keith it Look Perfect to me. Excellent all round! Have a wonderful day!
I like the banding effect,it adds an otherworldly feel to the landscape. Is the effect a result of the terrain formation itself,or a procedural in the texture? If the lower terrain is a seperate one from your distant range, you could try increasing the resolution ,or smoothing the terrain,in the terrain editor. The addition of the buildings adds depth to the image, and your lighting is great as usual!
Nice work and render.
Thats Gorgeous my friend
Excellent!
Very nicely composed this one, Keith - and I don't just mean the music! I like the way you've got us looking through the buildings to the towering landscape - which I consider to be the past and future all at the same time. Nicely lit.
Nice work Keith, the buildings look so natural in ths one and the banding on the hills gives the image an overall sense of mystery. Tony.
Exceptional as always - your lighting is always so crisp and clear and with a slight touch of "ausser-erdich" :-)
perfect does not exist flaws are what make it awesome colors, Keith warm hugs, Linda
Fantastic done scene! Excellent!
I think the banding actually adds to the overall image. The grand scale is fantastic and the outcome was worth the render time. Beautiful work, Keith!
well I think the shadow banding looks great on it .. 9 hours wow long time to work on it ... excellent and beautiful work Keith :)

A realistic atmos to this Top Class landscape scene!
The shadow banding, I like; it leaves something unexpected to the piece something extra for the imagination to play with. Thank you.
Great render and composition!
Great framing of the scene with the buildings - I think e-brink said it - really sets everything up! Agree with you on the mountains - frustrating.
Wonderful view! Congratulations!
Hay, it is Mystical how can it be anything but perfect!
