Description
THIS... is a Junkers...
The Ju-390 must surely be the aircraft of choice for wayward Nazis wanting to impress their allies in the East and deliver the odd secret weapon or two, after perhaps stopping off on the way to look under small mossy rocks in Tibet for ancestors of the Master Race. And afterwards, they could always land somewhere remote in South America in anticipation of a change of career...
Photographs show that the Ju-390 prototypes saw service as transport planes, hence the Nazi mail-run to Occupied China I've imagined here. It would be just this kind of mission that would try to deliver someone, say a certain Dr Jones, bound and gagged, into the clutches of the dreaded Black Dragon Society! I hope Indy has been taking flying lessons... because I'm sure the British in India are going to be scratching their heads over their aircraft recognition pamphlets when he brings this baby in.
The monster Junkers and the sections of the Great Wall were modelled in Shade 7LE and rendered in Bryce 6.1. I blurred the background slightly in Painter 8. The Junkers model is based in part the available 3-way view of the abandoned "Amerika Bomber" version (from the web) and some artistic license to fill in the gaps. I'll probably continue to fiddle with the texture till its ready for my purpose...
