Description
Took this photo of a slightly larger than life bronze statue at Fort Leavenworth, Kansas.
The statue faces the rising sun early this morning, Sunday, May 31, 2009.
Here is a previous upload that shows the entire statue in color last fall. Buffalo Soldier

gorgeous portrait and light!!!
Hehe. bimm3d should like it, since he's wearing that same hat and all. It shows how very well you understand black and white. Thank you for another glimpse of this bronze.
Wow. The light and shadow are fabulous. This is beautifully done!
Nice work, love the Light
Very well done. The light really is perfect.
GREAT SHOT IT LOOKS LIKE HE COULD LOOK RIGHT THROUGH YOU..
outstanding presentation Bill and statue capture
Excellent lighting!!
Great capture!!!
The light and close detail make this look like a studio shot with expensive lighting, nice work Bill!
Stunning work Bill! The detail on the sculpture is fantastic and the side light works wonders! Well done indded! :)
It is a great character portrait and if not for the eyes betraying the lifeless state, it would even have showed emotions. Great separation of the background to make it pop, Bill.
As Pieter says, the image pops.
A Super face, full of character.
Great shot Bill, You appear to be getting a grip on the New Camera. Cheers and have fun this week. SB
