Description
of course mr. escher did this better, but it was a challenge to draw it in a 3d prog. it was made from scratch in sketchup. apart from the text no postwork.
it took a very long time to make :-)

Koosie, all of your efforts to create this incredible feat was well worth it. You created a wonderful image and construct that should make you proud. Your perseverance paid off. This is masterful. A definite favorite!
Great work! this had to take a lot of planning and patience. Fantastic work
grandiooooooooss!!! F
SUPERB!!!
So THAT'S what it's called! I never knew! Very clever!
What a clever result and so beautiful: Well done Koosie :-)
You can play with Moebius strips and find strange magical things: with a strip of paper, turn one of the extremities 180° before sticking it, like your exemple. Cut the Moebius strip all along in the middle. You will get another Moebius strip. Now, create a new strip but turn an extremity 360° before sticking and if you cut the strip all along the middle, you will get two cylinders of paper fitted together. Are you curious? Make a new strip turning 360°+180°, stick it and cut it all along. Then make a new one turning 720°....cut it You will have strange things to discover....
Outstanding work!!!
and it puts a big smile on my face, koosie!!! remembering your first sketches and that bug you had, but look at it! and its so great to see the wireframe design, like in eschers image, but, this is your very unique version of this theme, the pawn mobius, what a joy to look at, fantastic woork, koosie :)))))
WOW! It is fun to try and follow the surface and find out that somehow you ended up on the other (same?) side!
What a challenge,Koosie! and great play!i love the pawns and this is a masterpiece!May be proud!
LOL.... splendid and creative mind ;O)
an ant is okay, how about a pawn? very creative concept and realization!
I can believe it took a long time...the curves, the altering perspectives, and, on top of all that, your open texture so we see the pawns 'through' the strip—you really made a headache for yourself! It's all done with deftness and ease, and actually feels relaxed and even fun. I bet it wasn't fun to make though. Beautiful work, and your hues, I think, make it feel very restful.
Love this Möbius band !
O.K., O.K. Koosie, tengevolge je persoonlijk bericht van heden 02 11 2009, doe ik hiervoor mijn hoedje af. 't Moet inderdaad een hele klus zijn geweest.
