Description
Couldn't let George (GBCalls) struggle by himself learning his new camera. This arrived safe and sound after taking an unauthorized side trip to Texas.
Although I had the little brother to this camera...I've made my share of dumb mistakes during the last three days. So, after 3 or 4 head slaps I am up to speed now...I think:-)
It'll see lots of action on a trip to St Louis, Missouri, Chicago, Illinois and Dayton, Ohio during the first week of June...together with a couple of other Rendo photographers.

Congratulations on the new toy...and its a good thing that they send manuals with these..:)
You'll not get that in your handbag!
Great Fun.
Good news then Bill and a fine first shot!!
School days lad. Learn all over. Nice rig and good shot of our Cardinal Buddy. Does the E-30 come with a neck brace so you can sling all your cameras as you go photographing? Have fun.
Its a beauty and so is the cardinal.. thanks for the photos you sent comparing both cameras. And hey why didn't you all add Tennessee to your travel itinerary??? let me know if you all head south at all in your travels..
Wow, have a super time. Lovely pic.
NICE camera, awesome bird photo. Sounds like a cool trip!
Beautiful! We might get older, and the new toys more expensive, but still the happy moments of newness really charge up those brain synapses. Congratulations, and have a great (and safe) trip!

Superscore, Bill. How big is the hardshell Pelikan case? Major envy on your new pixel-grabber.
I hope you enjoy yourself !! And bring back some great shots!!!
wow, you're so lucky! I'd love to get a new camera ... I Hope you are really happy with it!! ENJOY!
Two thumbs high Bill! Excellent- glad you are mastering the new technology so soon.
Congrats on the new toy, Bill! From the workmanship on the right with the birdie you definitely have a real winner there, my friend! Now you can join the latest photographer's trend of carrying at least two big cameras with you on your shoots.
Wow, what a nice new toy---you're getting off to a great start!! I know about trips with other RR photographers--they're a blast!!
Great camera and beautiful shot!!

Very swish Bill. Are they the ones with the nice 'flippy' back screen? Sweet mate. I have had my latest Nikon SLR now for 3 years or so and it's still going strong! Its probably a little obsolete but then again so am I!!!!!!!!
Congrats on your new camera. Looking forward to see it in action. Aloha
