Description
I have several pics of the American Painted Lady Butterfly, but this is the first time I have seen the caterpillar.
This one was about 1" long and was a very fast crawler, lol. I do not know which instar it is but by the last instar, they are green.

Some of those bristles look wicked sharp Lee, it isn't one of those that sting is it?? I am always wary of caterpillars as I don't know the difference between those that hurt and those that tickle. Excellent capture and such a beauty as well. Bravo!!!!!

Great Macro of a fantastic caterpillar.
Another "wow" shot. Those red dots on the black,and the white stripes with touches of yellow near the bottom are just amazing. I have seen this in books but I like this shot better than what I've seen in the past.
