Description
Sig (junge1) is on the road again, and he was in Seattle for a few days on his way to a new adventure. I had the good fortune to spend quite a bit of time with him, and we had a ball! He's wonderful company, interesting to talk to, and just an all-around fine human being.
On Saturday we drove up the North Cascades highway and stopped for lunch at this great little place in the mountains. It was such a beautiful day we sat out in the courtyard and enjoyed the sunshine. I was sitting facing the restaurant wall (being a good tour guide and giving my guest the view seats everywhere we went) and I couldn't help but notice the windows. In the end, I think I had the better view! Of course one would only think that if one were obsessed by light and glass. (Do we know anyone like that?)
There will be more pictures from our day out, as well as more stories. I'm going to get the jump on Sig with the stories, because he'll be gone at least another couple of weeks. :D
.....
I've been gone from RR for a few days because of computer problems, and have got a LOT of pictures to look at! My plan is to enjoy and stare and look and revel in your wonderful creativity and talent and thoroughly enjoy myself. I am NOT going to try to "catch up" with comments! I'm all about having fun here, and refuse to make it a chore.

I love this--each window has a different view--another great shot in your light and glass series!
Nah! don't know anyone who would be obsessed with light and glass.... Great shot
Outdoor umbrellas, bushes, lattice work, and plenty of light splashes...mighty cool for having your back to the view. Glad you guys had a fine day! Great shot here.
Excellent capture!!!! I got to go out on my sons boat today so have pics to view and decide which ones to share first.... Enjoy yourself my dear!!! If it's a chore its not fun anymore....
Gee, I don't know anyone who could be obsessed by light and glass ;) Lovely composition, and I am wishing I had been sitting there too~
This is a nice little delight, with all those reflections in each window! Good choice too, no one needs more chores!
Good to meet up with fellow members and swap stories and I guess from the amount of trvelling Sig has done he will have volumes of tales. I can see you had a great seat to catch a veriety of reflections through the glass.Brilliant! look forward to more views!
WOW! All is open what open can. It must be hot there LOL !! Have a great and peaceful time Tara :-)
SUCH an interesting pic! You are right not to try to catch up...it would make misery of what is a joy.
Wonderful capture!!
How wonderful Tara - a whole myriad of views! I agree that you might have had the better view but will judge that when we see Sig's picture of his view! LOL... Stay cool!!! :)
Wonderful, and I agree. You get two views at once.
Fantstic capture!!!
Love the shapes, as well and the light and glass...I didn't know he was around, sounds like you had a great time!

Excellent!Wonderful reflectins and the scene is fabulous.
There is a fabulous repetition in this that makes it so easy to view. Nothing complicated and yet there is so much to find it it. Lovely.
A very nice capture Tara, that would quite a task come window cleaning time!
Each window pane has it own scene...neat...
Nice view, lots of glass
Fantastic pov and idea, excellent capture!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
so much beautiful light!!!!
Wonderful capture...lots of light, which is nice...
WOW. I can practically smell the wood in this. The POV is fantastic, and I really love the rich play of color. There's a particular geometry to this that rocks...there's regularity, but each pane is different, kinda like a bunch of well behaved kids who aren't going to be well behaved too much longer. I particularly like that bit of red that resembles a honeycomb pattern...that's what grabbed my eye first. It does something to the focus of the picture that I like, but it doesn't dominate the scene in a way that makes you miss the other cool reflections and shadows and lines. I like this a lot.
