Well, this Grackle isn't really evil but he looks like he'd fit right into Jane's upload today: The Traveller ~ part 4 Dark Forest
This Grackle's color takes a different shade in the sun at a different time of the day. Here's the post from a couple of days ago showing a different shade of iredescence: Yellow Eyes

Excellent capture of this scrappy dude. With his head down he looks like he's ready for a fight, like he's used to having to fend off competition for his dinner, and he doesn't back off too quickly if push comes to shove.
Great shot Bill you nailed the light and even looks like the more exotic Splendid Starling found in the tropics

Lovely shot of this grackle, though much maligned and hated, I've always liked their iridescent color... though they sure can empty the bird feeders in a hurry when they come through!

Another fine composition to add to your rapidly growing folder of avians, Bill. An imposing shot that would make even Edgar Allan Poe sit up and take notice. The Grackle has a very nice, smooth and shiny coat. A special diet, like with eggs?
he does seem menacing but I have a fondness for them. They seem so forgotten unless hated. :-0 Great shot with such focus on the eye and gleam on the neck and head.
