Description
An investment of some 35,000 hours over the past five years has gone into the restoration of this aircraft which proudly stands on Ohakea Airbase Forecourt prior to take-off. The aircraft bears the identification mark AL (see earlier posts) in memory of the new owner (Brendon Deere)'s father Wing Commander Al Deere - during the Battle of Britain.
WC Deere led the march of BoB pilots at the state funeral of Sir Winston Churchill.
