Description
I found this hellebore at the flower and garden show. It really was that color! In fact, I tried to tone down the green a little bit in postwork because it just seemed too unbelievable.
Nobody seemed to mind me taking pictures, so ...

WOW! that is one very beautiful flower! Great shot!
They thought you'd be back to buy one:) Great shot with really unusual colors. Imagine if you had to buy one of everything you took a picture of...
Lovely shot My one hellebore is just going over, I think you will find most people just love it when photograph their flowers.
belle fleur, excellente photo !
I have seen these and they are just as stunning as your capture. I don't think I noticed the green pattern in the center though. Awesome.
Beautiful...
Amazing capture, its like a portal to another world.
Fabulous! Did you lift it's head up, I can never get pics of mine as they all hang down. And I brought some in and they drooped within half a day!
Wonderful shot!!

beautiful picture!
so much beautiful ,nice mood!!!
I know what you mean about the green color; there's a whole bed of these at the gardens at the Arboretum and at the Locks. I love the red "veins" through them, it looks almost like skin. I've never really gotten a close look at the central part, though, what a wonderful view! Excellent work!

Very nice !
Lovely capture, mine is still a very small plant but I am hopeful of flowers later.
I love the color and detail in this one Tara!
An excellent shot, a real beauty!
Sneak factor shots are always great, even if the SF is low. Oh well...hopefully we get to meet up, I'm in the mood to take sneak factor shots outside of Chicago. As for this plant, it vaguely reminds me of a triffid from the now-classic (or is it infamous) flick: "Day of the Triffids". I can believe that the otherworldly color is utterly natural. Plants have the ability to show colors that you didn't think could occur in nature. What's great about it as well is the fact that for all of the neon, radioactive green, the color is quite subtle. You've captured it perfectly and also inspired me to photograph more than the urban tulips that surround me whenever I wander out of the neighborhood I'm currently living in.
