Description
Hello everyone and thanks for looking.
Todays picture is a little different, and doesn't feature a mostly naked girl (gasp!!!) I know this means I won't get more than half a page of comments, but who cares? I think this picture came out pretty good, and wanted to share it anyway.
The space ship was built entirely out of Vue primatives and took about a week to put together. I used glowing and metallic materials to give it a 'lit from within' look. The model is available in my freebies, for anyone interested.
The sun is just a Vue sphere with a 'lava' glowing texture applied. I rendered each Vue object separately, then imported them onto a starfield that I'd created in Photoshop a while back, and arranged them as necessary.
The sun flares were made by using water splash brushes in Photoshop, colored orange.
What do you think? For the folks who expected something different from me, don't worry, I'll get back to the nearly naked girl pictures tomorrow. ^_^
Thanks again,
Tom

I think this is a fantastic render considering you put it together in Vue. Full view show all the detail. Don't worried about the naked girls, there are plenty of them in the galleries. Nice to see the unexpected once in a while as it keeps things interesting and fresh.
You can always put a naked girl in a transparent spacesuit doing a space walk. ;=D Lovely render, and DO keep up the good work! DPH
Remarkable work! Very well done!
Great work, love the shadows and colours, very original.
I'm sure that most of the crew will be naked, it's gotta be hot in there. The glowing materials work well adding subtle lighting to the bright light from the sun. Maybe an interior shot next with the poor hot, sweaty, naked female crew...
Good lighting.
Excellent render work Tom!(10) and if I get half a page of comments I would think it was my lucky day lol, true nude girls will always get more comment's.
I think the picture is great Tom and that ship you built is cool
Cool scene!
Your doing excellent, even without nearly naked girls Tom ;) Great model and the textures of the ship and the sun came out fabulous my friend.
this came out great and i love when the people do experiments,it is stunning sometimes as is here the case.well dne.
Very cool image! Well done!!
Outstanding work, Tom!
Are you sure??? I think i see a naked alien women lookin out the window!!!lol Excellent Space scene!!
wonderful ship and scene excellent concept
Great L5 space staion. Yes, I meant L5, I know the difference between L5 and that TV show. And it's good that you "throw a change-up" every now and then, it keeps us from getting complacent. Now if you really want shake things up, make the next space station look like a semi-naked girl! ROTFLOL :P!!!
Great scene!
Cool! Nice picture!
Enormous scene! Good job on all your efforts here!
This looks wonderful..nice work!!
I think you did a great job! Love this one :-)
Just ensuring more than half a page of comments...Good stuff, by the way!
Very nice space scene. Great colours and lighting! Really well done.
NNG's not always required bud ;) Great colorful space image, and your model looks fantastic. Very cool break from the norm and it looks like the comment prediction wrong.
Don't know anything about vue but looks really cool to me.
Fantastic image Tom! I think I like the sun the best although it's all great! I might have to ask to "borrow" it. ;)
Oh Tom this is great work. I love when you depart from your norm. Fabulous spaceship, I really love that sun.
A great render, and our eyes need a break from nude gals now and then (where's the nude guys?). lol The water splashes make excellent flares. The texture and color of your plant gives it a really "hot" look. I'm still trying to figure Vue out...sigh.
fantastic work tom!!
Wonderful!
