Description
A pair of pears from Nina's place on Lopez. I liked the vastly different textures.

I like Alan's comment about the moon in the background. The soft moon sets the mood for your pair of pears. Dana
Opasculum Padagogium; The Pears are not Nudes, viols or bottles; They resemble nothing else... That's the opening line to Wallace Stevens' poem "A Study of Two Pears" one of my favorite poems, and one of the only poetic stanzas that I can recite on cue. It popped into my head when I saw this image, because...well...because of Mr. Stevens, I've always been interested in pears. This picture does justice to that poem in many ways, and I love it. The textures are great, as is the sense of color. Your command of light is fantastic, or rather, the way you capture it so perfectly. This is one of my favorites!
Chip made me look at this one, and I'm glad he did. This is a great image. It's a perfect still life. The texture, the lighting, the composition and color are all wonderful. And unlike a lot of food photography, these actually look edible and like they'd be delicious, even if they're carved rather than grown.
well done
Cool, like the pov and the different textures, excellent capture!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
