Description
As I walked along the bay Sunday, there were hundreds of godwits** feasting on whatever it is they found in the sand. The bay is home to so many birds, I'm learning about new ones every time I go!!

Fabulous sight! What a great pic!
A new bird for me. Super shot. The design of that beak is perfect for feeding where they do.

Lovely capture of the group with great reflections and rich color!
Love the reflections! Excellent photo of these birds gathered.
Stellar capture of the long-beaked godwits and their reflections, along with nice textural effects in the water.
This is priceless. I love the gaggle of them...hmmm...do godwits gaggle? At any rate, this is priceless. You've caught them in all of their varied glory. Fantastic work, and another favorite, for sure. You have such an eye, and the area where you live serves your keen sense of visual-ness perfectly! Great stuff!
Wonderful capture! I've never seen these, and I never knew there were birds called that...I'm learning all the time!
Beautiful shot...
Excellent capture Marilyn
Great shot! I love the reflections.
Very nice!!
oh i love the gentle playfulness of the shot. There's a softness to the shot that makes them feel like little children (chicks), and their spread & groupings feel very playful. You have a whitening of the water at bottom too, which gives more uplift to the shot. This is delightful, and crowded but just enough. A really good piece of 'seeing', a real delight.
Oh my! So sweet.Great capture with so wonderful reflections! This makes the day,for sure!Fav.
