Description
Hello !
Yesterday I had a painting day with Susank (my dear neace). MY intentions were to create an abstract, but I always end up with something figurative. So this was my humble result. I just wanted to show what can happen, when you dont have any really plan in what you do. :-/
Thanks for your kind comments to yesterdays post and apeccial warm thanks to those who added it to favs.
Have a great day.
This morning was rather foggy....actually it still is. But still peaceful and not windy :)

I love it, Helle. The expression is great. Always go where your inspiration leads you. The results are wonderful.
a nice guy!!! Very funny picture!
is this perhaps in honour of the new born baby gorilla?
lol adorable ;o))))))))))))))) and double surprise..... hadn't got my glases on and read the gallery note as "Sunrise" ;o))))))))))))))))))))
Very expressive portrait. Fantastic work!
This is great! I hope susank didn't take it personally LOL! Or whoever else was in the room at the time (like, "uh, is that supposed to be me??? Do I really look like that???") You do wonderful abstracts, even make abstract visions out of landscapes & cityscapes, etc; but your love for natural things is deep & this is such a delight—I mean it's just wonderful! The freedom of your brushwork, the playfulness & simplicity, the darker hues on one side of his face & lighter on the other (a psychological portrait of a chimp!)—they're just great. Suzanne said "always go where your inspiration leads you"—and you do. That's one of the things I love about your work: You let your insides lead you. Wonderful portrait, I love the eyes, and he's smiling! A fav.
Oh Helle...this is a litle rascal, I bet. Beautiful painting!
GREAT! you are surprised, and he looks surprised, and I expect Susank was too! I love that brushwork!
