Description
I don't usually upload an image twice to my gallery, but I wanted to thank everyone for all of their great comments and suggestions on my first Pyewacket and share my progress. So, this is my revised version. I watched the film (BELL, BOOK AND CANDLE) again, and decided to revise it a bit. It's only loosely meant to depict the characters and atmosphere--not imitate them. However, I changed a few of the important details, lighting, and then also added a new prop, and changed her dress so it would reflect the costuming better--though I took some liberties. In the beginning the main character is a little sad and bored and wears a lot of black turtlenecks, and I wanted to show a little more skin. Anyway, I like this version better. What do you think? Do you feel it is improved? Best viewed full size.
I'm listing this in Poser this time even though I also created the fractal background and added a few tweaks in the Gimp. I spent most of my time in Poser creating the smart propped pendant, posing, and lighting. The rest of the time I spent making the fractals for the pendant and background in Artmatic Pro. No need to favorite this. It's a work in progress. Thanks as always for your comments and favorites and for looking on the past one (and taking time to see all of my images in fact).

I wanted to put up an Easter image this weekend, but I'm running late. Not sure that will happen. In any case, happy holidays to you and yours, and/or to those who celebrate spring, enjoy! I think it's finally arrived where I live! : )

nice result.
I like both of the images for different reasons. This has a more sombre mood due to your excellent lighting. Wonderful image!
Wonderful work!
Great job Cathy, I really love this revised version a lot :)
that's a tough call Cathy ... I like both for different reasons too ... I'm kind of a sucker for dark rooms with candle lights, so for me, this one is an eye-catcher for that reason! The other one has more shading/shadows on the character, which I particularly like about the original. In either case, excellent work on both!
it may have to do with the darker ambience, the colouring and light works better in this one, it also adds more to this thoughtful and quiet atmosphere in the scene. it is a wonderful mood in there anyway and i wish you a happy easter as well :)
Nice work my friend, love the poses and composition.....well done.
love it !!! HAPPY EASTER :)
Amazing work !! Happy Easter !!!
the somber colors and loghting really look sharp in this...the palette ebbs and flows thru this beautifully
Very nice image. Great character and lighting! Really well done.
Beautiful reworking! I prefer this dress for the particular image, and the cat is still gorgeous...
Both images have their merits for sure. I like how you darkened the mood and lighting on this one, it really goes with her thoughtful pose. Well done!
This is a fabulous revised version Cathy, very well done to you, your hard work paid off!!! hugs Jane xx
Very pretty scene. I like the cat on her lap and her pose petting it.
superb scene and lovely pose...excellent art..!!!
Very sharp and beautiful work. As soon as I saw the name, I knew where it came from -Not her cat anymore...
Very beautiful and a bit sorrowful expression in your model. A superb composition indeed.
I like this reworked one, it has a much better mood, more fitting to the character I think. Excellent work.
Most adorable image, I love how it all comes together.
