Description

I'm starting to catch up with your wonderful art & hope to finish tonight! In the meantime, a little 'cave-art' of ancestral moons and some plant-paintings from the cave-of-the-mind...It's early spring, which means early growth & emergence. So I made these little 'purple-y' celebrations in their honor... Two big holidays this week: Passover (Pesach) and Holy Week (Palm Sunday through Easter). As they had roots in ancient Spring, I wish all my best to all who celebrate them, and to everyone who celebrates the Warmth...

OHH How beautiful it is Mark. ! I really love the colors and texture on this one and I certainly love the moon too. But it also makes me think about a very old tree, which has seen generations and generations of life around it self.

Wonderful! I like how this texture looks like a combination of something organic and old paint, a unique way to show the heart and soul of cave paintings. The colors are beautiful as they make me think of the changes the sky makes when it moves between night and day. That touch of green here and there speaks to me of rebirth or growth. I like how you did these in panels, giving those etched nature symbols a high order of signficance. I wish all humans still held nature in such a high regard. Fluid and lovely work. Happy spring!

It is a great adventure to look from the top to bottom of your painting. We feel the "old" the "new" in a beautiful misture of colour, textures and light all around. We can go throught the deepness of your moon to another dimention where we can have a meeting with the "new-found".And in the "cave-of-the-mind" as such as you say, we can imagine all the beauty, all the thoughts that bring to us all the knowledge of the old world, to play with joy and hope in this one where we are.Like Helle said a "great and old tree..." Nature is in your painting,no doubt .The magnitude of simplicity in colour and brightness from inside.Once again, we can swim into your masterpiece. Very beutiful,Mark. My fav. just now!

Mark this is such a superb rendition of the art our ancestors might have had and it's done in your own caring style. The moon here is so beautiful and almost reaches out to us, while you also did a magnificent job showing everything springing to life for the season. Well done :)

I don't know what to say; everyone else has already said what I feel, so I guess my comment will be a resounding "DITTO!!!" This is beautiful!

I like coming to your gallery Mark. You force me to see a bit beyond just looking. You also force me to stretch a bit for the words...and I do like words. So, you see, coming to your place is a bit like exercise. No passive stops here:) I like the center piece best. Why? Concrete...easy on the eyes. Excellent presentation...and thoughtful words.

It is like a story to scroll through, The Spring sun creating plants and the cave art to celebrate the re-awakening.

This speaks to me, talks of life and death, rebirth and glory. In fact, it's very much the way my life feels these days, as though I'm coming out of the darkest winter. Thank you.

Wow, to say this is stunning would be an understatement! 3-D effects make it look like it was applied with a pallet knife! I wish I had time to wax eloquent like novelist and anaber before me, but my time is limited. Nevertheless, superlative creation, Mark!

THUD! Well, now you've done it. But, ohhh, HOW you've done it! You've gone and captured the very moon of April, aptly named Full Pink Moon after wild phlox and moss pinks, the Seed and the Awakening Moon. And equally as in your creation for Ana, again I'm the voyeur, witnessing emergence. I want to stain the cave paintings at Lascaux the color of barely-budding berries. I want to whisper-speak the mysteries with wrinkled sages. Warmest wishes for the upcoming holiday(s), Mark. I wish you protection, peace, joy, rebirth...light after darkness...and eternal growth.

It's the roots in ancient spring that resonates with me in this purple-y delight of moon and caves and beginnings!
