Description
PAIN
pain
gains strength
from fear
tearing tears
from eyes
in sight
of years
of pain
gain strength
from fear
tear eyes from
burning light
look out
to see within
insight
without
fear of pain
or pain of fear
or tears of solitude
or sorrow
receive
but leave intact
give away
to grow
feel upwelling emotion
to dream reality
to be
to become
to love
your self

Written for Linda last year, this was my first attempt at creative writing for over 25 years. The photograph was taken into the lens in the Magaliesberg Mountains west of Johannesburg in the late 1970s. Post work and signature in Photoshop.

Very nice image. Great colours and textures! Nice artwork.
Fantastic work, wonderful colours. I reminds me of the time the doctor put me on some Tincture or another (I think it was an opium derivative):-)

Powerfully empathic- image and words. Great texture and colors.
A beautifully written description of the challenge of chronic pain. I'm glad you're writing again ... I love the abstract quality of your image, and the surface "texture" is great. I can almost feel it. Nicely done!
