Description
Very, very symbolic piece for me as of late.
There are moments where people take you by such surprise that you feel like you're unable to speak. Something gets locked away in the back of your throat, behind the knot of emotion, and words fail. Thoughts fail. You are disappointed, heartbroken, angry and sad, but can voice nothing. So you sit and stare, maybe cry, but no words come. And until this time passes, as all things do, you do not say a thing. Even when you do, perhaps you'll never speak of the thing that silenced you, for words may fall short yet again for the emotion that you feel.
After all, what's left to speak of but a memory?
Life, pain - so fleeting. Constantly remaining an afterthought. But that heartache and heartbeat, is it not what we live for? Is it not what drives us to be? Perhaps life is not beautiful because of pain itself, but overcoming pain. Perhaps the people that hurt us so in this life are the ones that we'll be most thankful for in the end. It doesn't take very much to live without suffering, but it takes more than can be spoken of to suffer always and still manage to be happy if only because you are alive.
I suppose the one thing we must always remember is in that instant - that fleeting moment where we feel so lost, so damaged - the tears of sorrow are actually tears of joy in disguise, for this too shall pass.
My love to everyone always.

Very beautiful portrait , i like the tones!
Very well expressed picture and thoughts...I am in a place such as you are right now (actually for quite some time), you have shown me a different way to think of this, Thank you for sharing your Art and your Thoughts. (I dont' always get to stop by and view the new pics each day, but something drew me to stop and take the time to do so this morning, maybe Fate).
Very expressive image. It really reflects the toughts that you shared. From the pure aesthetic view the monochromatic choice is outstanding.
very intriguing artwork
I am 45.. almost 46.. The people and cirumstances who have hurt me the most in my life are also the people and circumstances that made me grow as a person the most. At the time I didn't see that for the pain and grief where too strong. The growth I got after I forgave those people.. Not forgiving with words but forgiving from the heart.. In a way your story and this comment are related strongly although it might not seem to be so. I have know those moments where I could not speak too. Time does not heal all wounds but it makes them bareable.. :) It is what makes us who we are eventually.. :) biiig hugs Charley
HI SUMMER
I can relate to this image and concept, as there are things inside of me I will only say to myself. In terms of forgiveness, I suppose I have not come very far for I still can't forgive LJ for dying. I can't ever see my tears of sorrow turning to tears of joy. Truthfully I can't even imagine joy anymore. But I still enjoy being alive and many things make me smile and feel momentary happiness. CC
Strong, Powerful and Very Beautiful !! :)
I have been where you are now. Too many times. Live for today, for it is not yesterday. Tomorrow will become today soon enough, then fade into yesterday. Superb image and graphic description.
Great image and fantastic words. I had a bitter sweet year last year, but experienced what you describe. These moments, as you say, often help to define us, we just don't know it at the time.
Awesome idea and presentation!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
This couldn't have come at a better time..I am going through a divorce and fighting to keep my 16 month old baby girl..Thank you for posting this, especially your words..Fav5.
