Description
"Let me in--let me in!"
"Who are you!" I asked struggling to disengage myself.
"Catherine Linton," it replied shiveringly (why did I think of Linton! I had read Earnshaw twenty times for Linton). 'I'm come home, I'd lost my way on the moor.'
--Excerpted from Emily Bronte's WUTHERING HEIGHTS, chapter three.
Tools used: Poser, Vue, the Gimp
I've been wanting to learn Poser and was suddenly inspired to add another image to my new literary series today.
Thanks for looking and for all of your insightful comments. Happy weekend!

Beautiful image! It's an instant fav! I say let her in! :)
It's been a lonnnng time since I read WHeights, but I do remember this scene for its 'is it a dream or is it real' feeling; unfortunately, my memory is spotty about everything else. (You're getting me to go back and read several works...) Well you definitely captured the dream feeling, and the deep night feeling it's encased in. And you caught the sense of those moors too...at least as they exist in the literary imagination. They're chock full of novels & stories like this...Your trees & bushes are very detailed but also somewhat abstracted (the flat grays you have in them) which makes them spookier; and your sky is a real lowering moor sky, replete with lit mists and strands of light in the night (which make their way across Catherine—a very nice touch). And her face is lit looking in from the dark and taking on the inside light like a ghost...Nice nighttime piece, Cathy, and you captured the unreality and yearning of the scene & your light & hues are just right too. Dark & yearning & enticing...
