Description
I decided to try a series of literary inspired images. Here's my loose interpretration of Titania and Bottom from A Midsummer Night's Dream by William Shakespeare. Act I Scene 4:
"Come, sit thee down upon this flow'ry bed,
While I thy amiable cheeks do coy,
And stick musk-roses in thy sleek smooth head, And kiss thy fair large ears, my gentle joy."
Full size is best. I created the background in Bryce, the rest was posed and rendered in Daz, some final painting was done in The Gimp. Thanks for looking and for all your comments, favorites, well wishes and most of all your patience. I will catch up to your galleries this week. I had to turn off all my ebots while I recouperated, as I was inundated with emails. This week I intend to comment on all those who have commented here. Thanks again for your continuing support.

Very lovely and beautiful work my dear friend, excellent done.
Beautiful and fits "A Midsummer Night's Dream' beautifully!
You are an artist. An amazing one.
Lovely image Cathy! Hope you are well on the road to recovery.
This is a truly lovely picture. That's an interesting concept you've tackled here and I certainly look forward to seeing where you take this in the future.
the luminous quality to this is very sharp...love the comp
I like the way that Bottom is looking out at us - the audience - it's makes it more stagey. Nice use of coloured lighting for a more magical effect. The composition is good and leans into Bottom's head to once again accentuate the relationship with the audience. Nice job!
Cathy this is such a wonderful image and your work on this one was really magnificent
Adorable! I like the donkey and the lady.
love those fireflies ... excellent magical scene!!!!
I think your rendition Titania and Bottom of Shakespeare's Midsummer Night's Dream is awesome! The fireflies add the finishing touch, grins! Like minuscule faies flying around!
Great idea, very well executed! Original art...
Love this! Think the almost fluorescent lighting style add a very special touch to the candour that flows from it. It´s an extremely nice image to look at, Congrats.
awesome, very nice illustration..
This is really great!!! Love it!
Snining work.
Excellent piece of art and a great prose
Wonderful interpretation of a classic. This could easily be used as a poster for the play - you should get someone in your area to put the play on so you can sell them the poster (my agent's fees are very reasonable, for obvious reasons :o))
Wonderful image!!
Just love this story !! And your illustration is just perfectly splendid !! Instant FAV !!
wonderful work !
It has a hightened sense of reality to it. This is very well done, magical. One could write a poem about it?
So sweet! I like the colors and light, very nice night scene :)
very nicely done, you captured the night glow of Shakespeare's love-reverie, and it bathes the whole piece. I love the little lightning bugs (or spirits, actually) and the blueish tint to it all. Very sensitively done, and I love how you're doing literary themes here. Once I settle back here, I'll look through more of your gallery. It's a very rich collection of arts...lovely work again, and some of your blues are truly luminous.
A most endearing composition, done with talent and delicacy. The verses by Shakespeare brings to mind my younger years as I was studying "A Midsummer Night's Dream" in college in France!
