Description
Ever wish you were a fly on the wall?
This glass and metal fly is about six or eight inches long. I found him at the flower and garden show.
I'm not big on bugs, so this is probably the only one you'll ever see in my gallery! I'm showing you this more for the novelty than anything else. There were a lot of glass bugs in this booth, and they were all pretty realistic!
I'm making you look at this because it's just SO different, not because I like it. (Apparently I'm in a bit of a twisted mood today! LOL!)

Love the lighting you used to light this very interesting "fly". Well done!
Cool!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
She is pretty with nice colours and you did an excellent capture.I like the shadows in the wall.
That is a beautifully made fly and you have shown the detail very nicely.
That's what I call "extreme close-up"... :) Interesting metal/glass artwork, and I have to admit -- I prefer this one to a real. Beautiful capture!!!
well you can be sure he wasn't about to fly off on you =) nicely shot
Now this had me fooled here, I thought heads up, auntie has gotten herself one helluva macro lens and camera here, LOL...Rats foiled again :)
Bizarre sculpture but very well done. Nice capture. Dana P
Wonderful!!
A fine picture of this wonderful creation.
I'm a bug guy and this picture gives me a good, long-deserved giggle. I love the colors and the sense of whimsy. The glasswork is stunningly gorgeous and you've captured it perfectly. Needless to say, it's a favorite.
I like these kind of flies...it's to heavy to fly...lol.....great capture
a really classic shot of this glass fly. I'm with Chip—a fav. you got what I assume are reflections in the glass beads, and some terrific shadows. Did you ever draw/paint insects? I did, by capturing them in jars. (I threw in some HBO and few magazines...) It's creepy at first, but then after awhile it's like drawing a science fiction creature. (Then it gets creepy again...there's just no getting around it, they are not good looking creatures...) A really fine shot Tara, this is definitely one for the fav columns...
Flies are terrible, but work is ok.
