I may be getting over the Flu that ate Chicago, but it doesn't stop me from wishing a terrific birthday to my wonderful friend Jodie!

Happy 50th Birthday, Jodie, great friend, wonderful photographer (gallery here), musician, teacher, mother, wife, oboist, flautist, lights director, chicken farmer, (I don't even know what chickens look like, and she's got a million of 'm!) and a terrific person to know & be friends with! The middle one's the original (flames), the top is--well, I don't know-- and the bottom one is Flames During Minnesota Winter. (Note: Minnesota winter lasts through late August.) (I'm not joking about that, folks...) Happy Birthday, wonderful friend! Thank you for being my friend and I wish you many more birthdays with illumination, joy & lots of grace! Oh WOW!! "Genuine Flames by Mark"!! The place is heating up here and my computer is smoking! This is so lovely and touching for me, Mark. I get the 3 in one deal, too! These flames go through the most perfect transformation as they erupt in the darkness, blaze at full force and continue to glow in the icy MN climate. This is the type of flame that can endure anything, esp. if it can light the way in the snow. lol. Another wonderful work that speaks volumes to me! It is the perfect kick-off to a great birthday. Mark this is such a splendid and truly heartwarming birthday gift for Jodie. I'm sorry to hear about the flu your battling now but apparently it didn't stop you from putting together this wonderful birthday dedi to her.
