The render from AOB Part 44
Hello everyone, this is the render from the wire frame that I posted the other day. I took the liberty to add some color to the background (eye candy). If this were a real ship headed out to Saturn, you would not see any background like this, stars yes but nebulas no.
Thanks for taking the time to view and comment on this picture.
Cheers,
David

Terrific stuff, as always. Why not give us a view from inside?
I still can't get over that you modeled this in Bryce EXCELLENT work
Awesome modeling and detail.
Finely detailed and well-crafted.
"Good morning, Dave. I see that you have completed the work on your ship. It is good to have a creative occupation."
Simply awesome!
Great POV--and I can't believe you even have done the inside of that thing! You must be at least as insande as I am. Heh!
Fantastic and incredible work.
Superb!!! Love the detail and lighting of the interior too!
So what is the render time on that maonster of a ship..?? Just Curious....Awesome job Again....Dang drooling to... hehehe ... Have a great day.. - Michael
I've always admired your works!
simply tremendous
Hey, Zapper (Michael), the render took about 36 hours. This was done at 36 rays’ per pixels. If I were to do it at 64 or higher, you would have to double the length for the render time. The system that the render was done on was a P4 3.60 GHz with 4 Gigs of ram even though with any 32-bit OS it will only use the first 3 Gigs and ignore the rest. An ATI Radeon AIW 1800XL with 256 Megs of ram was on that particular system. I have 5 systems that I use for rendering; I do not use them as a render farm because at any time I will be rendering 4 different views of the same file. This gives me a choice of different views to choose from for the final image that I post. All the systems have a P4’s or PD’s processor, 4 Gigs of ram a Terabyte or more of HD space and either a 256 or a 512 Meg Radeon video card. Hope this helps, Cheers, David
Awesome Work.....;)
This is a spectacular view. Your models are all so incredibly detailed and designed. I love this kind of very near-future stuff. We could actually build that ship right now (if we had the money/will) and it really looks like something we'd build!
Thud...jaw on floor, ok ok ok so you hve really got this down to a finite art, holy crappola im stunned this is frikking awesome bro
This a cracker - very well done
