Description
A prospector scout ship drops out of the sky with a roar that drowns out the moan of the enternal wind. Angela Norstaad is the first human--the first sentient of any race--to visit this large terrestial planet. It is the third world out from its parent star. Larger than Earth, it is like a huge Mars, but with hardy plant life and a barely breathable atmosphere. Angela is the first of many, who will come to this harsh, dry world. First, will be the hardy miners and prospectors and after them, will come settlers, who will wrest their own dreams from the planet; and in the process change it into something entirely different from what it is now.
Phillip Drawbridge has gifted the cg community with some especially high quality models, both for sale and as freebies--one of which is the XF-119Bug featured in this render. He is a DAZ merchant and the link to his store is:

So thanks, Phillip, and I hope I've done your model justice.
Thanks for all those visits and comments. I always enjoy them.

Your terrains are fantastic! Like the ship and your burners look good.
Great render! Really cool scene!
Really nice ship!
Nice image and story. I think I see the slivers of a couple of moons there in the sky too. Those Alienskin plants look might nice too.
Nice use of the alien plants...the terrain work is very good, and the lighting is suited to the environment...well done Jeremy!
Excellent work and story! :)
Sigh . makes me wish that reincarnation may be a reality & that I could perhaps come back to explore other worlds. someday. we all gotta have dreams, no matter how improbable
Fine work all around
Very well done Jeremy!
This is really nicely done. The terrain is a blend of the familiar with just a touch of alien to let you know you're not in Kansas anymore.
You have totally done it justice. It's one of my favourite models and I always like to see it used. The funny thing is, when I started to model it, it was supposed to be a truck.
Reminds me alot of Firefly / Serenity, or at least what other ships in that series could look like. Its those outrigger engines :) And I'm loving that landscape. Alternatively, could also be a scene in Star Wars, from the very old Republic Days, dating father back than Knights of the Old Republic (+4000 yrs before A New Hope). Philip does indeed do some fantastic models, unfortunately the majority of them are for Bryce only.
This is very cool!!! I like your gallery, and what a great collection of artwork. Thank you also for your nice compliments on my work. Again, great scene here! Richard
