Description

AlooooooHa! Another try at HDR. This is shot of one of the old plantation houses that use to dot the landscape in the old days of sugar cane. Houses like this were quite common around my small little town of Pahoa. You can still find many houses like this still occupied like this one is. This one goes out to Sharky who asked me to give this one a go...I know HDR has mixed reviews on this site, but I enjoy playing around with it from time to time. Like it or hate it, here it is. Have a great weekend everyone, and get some killer shots!~ Aloha~

Something about these old plantation homes that stop me in my tracks. Brings back old memories of the once was "Sugarcane Industry". Most excellent work and thank you for the dedi and posting. Aloha

Very nice Dave. Yeah, seems some people over do it with HDR. Hard to adjust to just the perfect look. Not bad, not bad at all my friend. Don't you just love the rustic look to these old homes. Great job. Aloha

I actually love the colors of this old house! Especially accentuated with those ominous looking clouds!! I feel that HDR makes it look more like a painting. Super cool postwork!!!!! and excellent dedi to our friend Errol!! Aloha...

A great photo. I like the rain and the ominous sky. I have seen these plantation houses years ago when I lived in Hawaii. Thanks for the memory.

It's easy to over HDR, but this is nicely done. I like the feel you've captured.

I enjoy HDR for many things. Something aren't made for it but in this case, I think this old plantation house is. Stellar work and excellent effect.
