Description
Thought of several titles for this: "Trees" or maybe, "You Can See Forever" but what we really have here is the scene looking west from the front deck of the two Renderosity members in my title.
This is a photo taken last August. We are sitting on the front deck of a mountain home in northeast Gerogia (probably sipping some adult beverage).
If you look carefully, you can see a little bit of Lake Burton, a manmade lake filled years ago to supply power for Atlanta. Further to the west you can see why these mountains are known as the Blue Ridge Mountains...part of the Appalachian Mountains that run north-south, parallel to the east coast of the USA.
Now, if I've got any of the geography wrong, ...Skipper, feel free to correct me:-)
Hope you enjoy the view as much as we do.
Thanks so much for all your comments and favorites...they are very much appreciated.
Bill:)

nice shot, i love the color blue curling through the trees
Wonderful!!!
Great view, Bill. Good capture of the vegetation-induced haze so often found in those mountains.
Jolie photo et paysage :)
good use of the eye pull syndrome here Bill the tree in the forground grabs you then the eye wanders to the snaking river, that leads up to the blue ridge mountains HOAH!!!!
Great shot and you got rid of the wires nicely. The only correction or, perhaps clearing up a point is, we WERE enjoying adult beverages,in a responsible manner, no probably involved. The big pine tree, on the right of the picture, suffered from pine blight so we had it removed which opened up the view from the other end of the deck. Will be heading back for the season in about 3 weeks and will eagerly await your return. Cheers and best wishes, Skipper62
Indeed, it IS an excellent view!!! Very lush green... wouldn't we all love to have a mountain dwelling in a place such as this. Thank you very much for sharing it.
Beautiful greens here... great photo!
Very nice capture of a beautiful place, and much cooler than below in the city. Stay and sip and drink it in, as long as you can.
Wow!!! Amazing wild landscape, I see some fouses in the middle, I'd like to live there!!! Excvellent shot!!! :)
Amazing!
awesome view....!
Fabulous shot and I've been wanting to visit the Blue Ridge Mountains so now I have a place where I know I can go and find the comfort of home as well as the excitement of adventure.
Lucky people to have such a beautiful view. Great shot.
Thanks, Bill! It's a great shot from the deck. We'd like to see more of the lake, but then more of the lake could see us in our jammies:)
The blue and green are warm and evasive, thanks for the shot.
Bravo Bill great POV and love the verdant lush greens!
What a beautiful scene Bill!
Love the slow transition from deep green up close to misty blue in the distance, Bill! And, an amazing display of foliage for one to contemplate.
stunning vista and would be enjoyable living there Bill
Wow. That is an absolutely phenomenal view! What a beautiful place to sit and enjoy your beverage. Pour me a scotch, and I'll be right there! :)

How wonderful it must be to wake up to this most beautiful sight each morning, if it were me I would think I had died and gone to heaven. Thank you for sharing this beautiful sight Bill. hugs Jane xx
Excellent picture! I live near the Blue Ridge Parkway and there is never any doubt why they are called the Blue Ridge Mountains.
Great view Bill and good description!
