Description
Now, I know the sun always sets in the west; I really and truly KNOW that. But when I looked back at this spot on Tybee Island,Georgia and saw the sun going down over the LAND, well, I gotta tell ya, it really boggled my mind. I live on the WEST coast and the shadows here were just all wrong!! Still gorgeous, however!!

very nice saturation.the setting sun seems to give a red glow to things
Gorgeous! The light is absolutely spectacular. Fantastic!
lovely photo my friend x
The shadows were fine...the ocean was just on the wrong side:) Tybee is a neat place...wouldn't mind having a beach house there.
Fabulous warm glow! I had a similar disorienting experience when I went to France, and found that the sun is BEHIND you on the beach instead of in front!
Beautiful warmth to this shot, lovely capture. and yes if things are the opposite to what we are used to, well it just takes a little more time to think what the Hecks going on lol
Good pic for a cold February day. As they say, great colors.
When I went to the moon, the sun was just THERE! :)..This is a great shot maz...Love the warm tone.
Oh how golden and vibrant, a beautiful scene. I live on the East Coast of England, and yes if ever I visit the West Coast it does all seem strange to me too. Great shot Marilyn, hugs Jane xx
love the colors makes me smile warm hug, Linda
i feel the warmth......
Yes, I know what you mean; when I lived on the east coast it just didn't seem right that the sun sets behind the dunes at the beach! I never could get used to it. This is a golden beauty!
superb!
You may have been facing north when this occurred. But you never know in this upside down world. Stellar textures and orangey effect permeates this wonderful composition, Marilyn!
agree about the orangey effects & textures, I really like them. And you know what's amazing? This could be small tufts, like grasses, but it could also be large bushes too. There's a little "trail" midway in the picture, and this truly could be either scale, it's really uncanny. in any case, the shadows & golden ambers are sumptuous. Very warm & colorful shot. (I live right off Lake Michigan: When the sun rises over it, it's breathtaking. If you pay me enough money, I'll post some of my shots. I'm NOT a good photographer: Trust me, you'll have to pay me huge sums of money, and sign a few affadavits while you're at it...)
Waow! the light and colour is awesome
