Description

Here is my last infrared canal photo -- for the week anyway. (hahaha) Really original title, I know. But I wanted to clarify that I took most of these photos as I was piloting the boat and while it was moving. Let me tell you, it takes a steady hand and the ability to multi-task. Many of the photos came out blury anyway. I had to predict the compostion and when the boat was in the right place, snap off a shot. This is one of the ones that I felt had a neat composition with the depth of the canal, foreground and background trees and the overall shapes. The larger view has better detail so please "click." Thanks and have a great weekend (Happy Friday the 13th).

Remarkable POV under the circumstances you mention Kort, it's been a great series, and this finale is beautiful.

wondeful image! my judgement is clouded by the fact that my father had a boathouse almost identical to these on the caloosahatchee river in labelle, florida.

Stellar composition once again in evidence here with this fine IR concept, Kort! I like the rippling reflective effect in the water, plus the perspective convergence of subject matter as it retreats into the distance.

Yeah, yeah, three million images and not a bad one. BUT--how about the GREAT one, the essence? This one is getting close. The "shade" which is the "light" adds. Except for this stuff, I can tell you, though I have been there often, I have NO interest in Florida canals. What the hell do they do for a living there?

To take these shots on the move proves you know your camera, you have honed your own skills and your talent for this is near perfect.

Hand held on a moving boat.... well alrighty then :-) I'm impressed! I keep talking about converting my old D50 to a dedicated IR camera. Would be fun to try my hand at these. They are just beautiful!
