Description
Using the basics from my previous upload, I decided to create a different mood.
Some of the terrain mats were changed, the distant fire effect was created using a giant sphere, applying the 'toxic haze' ATMOS mat to it and adding a few radial lights. Foreground also has the addition of several evergreen trees for interest and scale.

Excellent distant fire effect Keith, you've definitely caught the look of a wildfire on the distant ridge.Like the addition of the trees for depth to the scene...well done!
Superb Keith! Excellent light and texture!
the effect of the forest fire is believable and very well done
Outstanding !

I sure hope the mountain will stop the fire from getting to the trees upfront. Great fire effects Keith. The smoke looks very realistic too.
excellent work Keith .. the fire atmosphere is done really well ...
Gorgeous!!!
Wonderful Bryce render and composition, Keith. Fascinating and dangerous phenomenon. Australia suffered pretty bad lately from wild fires. Hope our Australian photographer friend, Aleksander is ok. Wonderful work here.
Sometimes sharing the magic makes it hard to see the image! I keep looking for a big sphere! The trees work very nicely in the foreground and it gives a completely different feel to the terrain.
How ironic that Australia are suffering from the real thing, I think that gives this image more imapct as we realise the destructon that fire can cause. Tony.
Excellent!
I agree with Tanglimara, the news makes this such a real and scary effect!
looks like a new world beyond the fire wonderful work Keith enjoy your weekend warm hug, Linda
Your background fire work is awesome. Marvelous work!!! Thanks for the tip.

Great effect, Keith. I love the sense of distant calamity you've achieved. The calm in the foreground is very powerful and currently poignant.
it is a cool effect.. after seeing the damage fire did to Yellowstone park, i sure hope yours gets contained :)
