Description
I've only seen two northern flickers before, one on the Gulf Coast and one in New Mexico.
So, needless to say, I nearly need smelling salts when this one showed up this morning!
Caught 'on the fly' and not the best, but maybe he'll come back one day.

What a beautiful bird, and you captured it so well. It is such a treat to see a bird that is new, or one we don't see often. I hope he comes back for more visits with you.

Always a treat for me these images of yours Tex, way to go sweetie!!!
SUPERB!!
Not a "flea flicker," a trick play employed in football, but a splendid shot of another pretty little birdie, taken under rather adverse conditions. Love the textures on this fine specimen, Maria.
Mighty handsome bird. What colors. Glad he stopped by for a visit.
fabulous!
A beautiful looking bird with wonderful markings. Clever catching him and I do hope he returns for you.
A wonderful catch! I had a golden flicker show up once, and didn't get anything remotely recognizable as a photo. This is beautiful!
