Description
Captured 2/3/09, very early in the morning, within walking distance of my anachronistic abode.
All three photos are of the same plant; the bottom shot shows it flipped 180-degrees vertical.
Much better viewed full size.
Thankx for clicking on, and have a scintillating Saturday.

Very nice close ups, Harry. I believe those would be what we call "hen and chicks". http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Hen_and_chicks
Excellent details and beautiful light. Superb shots!
Wow, nothing humble about this fantastic and healthy lifeform -- it fairly shouts "HEY! LOOK AT ME!!!" Perfect specimen, and the play of light and shadow are a big bonus. Very well done, Harry!
A succulent with awesome flowers.Great collage.
Fabulous capture of this nice plant. Those green petals flare outwards like our own sun. Good one Harry.
Excellent photos today. You drove me back to look up succulents and do a little research. Not many growing in my backyard:) But then there isn't anything growing at this time of the year. Excellent collage. Great color, light and shadows.
great shots of these hens and chicks, i never get tired of them!!
The patterns in these plants are very interesting! Nice work!
nice to see what size can do to a image. wonderful looking
Nice one.
Great job on showing what Mother Nature can do Harry, this looks great. Nice work my friend!
some fine ones, Harry, now you got me...grin... this is certainly one for me
I love the see the symmetry as the leaves radiate outward. Lovely example of nature's spiral. The top image is the best, IMHO.
