Description
The Cubans like very much music, and many groups are playing on busy places. Here three musicians are adding a touch of charm to the breakfast in Habana Vieja (old Habana). In the background, you see the Capitol, built between 1910 and 1939 on the same model as the one of Washington by more than 2000 workers. This building is totally covered with marble and is one of the finest architectural creations of Habana. I dedicate this photograph to Elcet and Remail, repectively my husband and my son, both of them being Renderosity artists, who traveled with me during two weeks in Cuba. Best viewed full size. Les Cubains apprécient beaucoup la musique et de nombreux groupes en jouent sur les lieux de passage importants. Ici trois musiciens agrémentent le petit déjeûner dans le Habana Vieja (vieux Havane). Au fond, on reconnaît le Capitole, construit entre 1910 et 1939, sur le modèle de celui de Washington, par plus de 2000 ouvriers, artisans et maîtres d’œuvre. Ce bâtiment est totalement recouvert de marbre. Il est l’un des plus riches de la Havane sur le plan architectural. Techdata: Nikon D50 with AF-Nikkor 3.5-4,5/18-70 ED at 70mm (equiv. 24x36, 105mm), 1/250s at f/10, no flash, 400 ISO. Slight enhancement of dark and light tones in Photoshop CS3 Extended.

The depth of the city, the happyness, the Cuba feeling, all make your photo a great and stunning moment. You captured it so well and so strong my friend. I know in Cuba the life is very hard and behind such touristic joy is hidden a dramatic economic and social condition for the people there. A faultless composition which emphazises on the depth. I can hear the music of the violins! Very nice image, "straight from the CCD". I DO NOT share M2A's point of view, even if the economic situation of Cuba is far from excellence, one can only say that the social condition is bad if one has never been here. The Cuban people has free access to education, free medicine, and they are paid when retired. This is far from being the case in so many countries, as I have noticed when I visited them. Thanks a lot to my beloved wife for the dedi!

Je propose illico tes photos pour la publication d'un dépliant touristique, enfin, artistique. Malheureusement je n'ai pas ce pouvoir et ne peux qu'admirer une nouvelle photo sublime de ton beau voyage. Sublime parce que merveilleusement bien équilibrée tant par le choix du cadre que pour son côté humain le tout enveloppé dans une technique irréprochable. Bravo. On en redemande. Bonne semaine.
