Description
A few minutes after taking my last offering, Fire and Ice, the sun had risen a fraction more and, by the time I was approaching Reading Bridge, was presenting this rather red globe shining through the trees in nearby Kings Meadow.
The trouble with taking photos of the sun is that it never seems to come out as red as it looked in real life.
It has, however, been my mission, for some years, to keep trying to capture the perfect sunrise anyway.
I still haven't achieved this goal but do have a fairly impressive collection of sunrise photos now - some of which come close. :-)
This is not the best I have managed but I was rather taken with the lens-flare which appeared on the end result and, therefore, could not resist posting it - though I did resist the urge to fiddle the colours in PhotoShop.
Hope you find it appealing as well.
Have a good weekend.

A fine rising sun and a beautiful capture Kev.
It's just great as it is, thanks for sharing.
I suppose the reason that they never look as red is because the camera is focusing on the light source, in this case being the sun, so unfortunately it draws out the white light. You could drop the appeture setting below what the meter is telling you but that would lose some of the foreground detail but would allow less light onto the lens. Judging by the number of photos that you say you have practiced with I am probably saying what you already know lol.. The indicator of the redness is in the halo around it in this instance though and it is still a very beautiful sunrise and super capture :)
