Description
IN NORTH AMERICA WE CALL THIS TREE A WILLOW TREE. I LEARNED RECENTLY THAT ELSEWHERE IT'S CALLED A BOTTLE BRUSH. WHEN I HEARD THAT NAME IT MADE PERFECT SENSE. IT LOOKS LIKE A BOTTLE BRUSH. NO MATTER THE NAME I THINK YOU WILL AGREE, IT'S PRETTY.
I STAND CORRECTED. I LOOKED UP BOTTLEBRUSH ON THE INTERNET. EVEN THOUGH THE WAY THE LEAVES ARE SHAPED, AND THE WAY THEY HANG DOWN, IT IS NOT EVEN RELATED TO THE WILLOW FAMILY. THANK YOU BOBBI.

These are lovely~
'Willow'? we call these Australians 'Bottle-brush'. Lovely bright pic.
Beautiful shot; I know them as bottle brush too...
Sure it is pretty, wonderful strong red colors.
never heard them referred to as "willow" although the leaf and the way the branches hang are much like the willow. I don't even believe they are in the same family. Great shot though. 5++
