Description
The Peregrine falcon is a true lord of the sky I have mentioned before that it stoops at speeds of over 180 kph for the catch. To enable the bird to breathe at this speed, it has special baffles in its nostrils, which control breathing, which you can make out in this image.

Mr. P to the likes of us! Exquisitely proud photograph!
Great capture!!!
poise and elegance.. just the one eye makes him look as if he's spying on you =) great shot
BEAUTUIFL
The incredible lighting is so perfect in this! Highlights to the eye, breast, beak... all bring such stellar details out that most photos leave behind. I do love these birds but they are a source of irritation as well. Every time I've tried to get to the observation deck at The Terminal Tower (not called that any more either!) in Cleveland, Ohio, I'm told its closed because of a nesting pair that now call it "home!"
Regal bird and beautiful shot!
Gorgeous portrait of this beautiful falcon. Well done as always!
